About Me:
I am currently a Junior in the Technical Communications program at UW-Stout.
Print Material
Being a Technical Communications major I have a lot more experience than just web. My classes have taught me effective ways to create brochures and technical manuals. I am still developing my portfolio of these works.
Web Material
I have been involved in web design since I was 12 years old. So far, a lot of what I know, in regards to web development, is through self teachings from online resources and books as well as plenty of trial and error. I am extremely eager to learn more coding languages and methods in addition to the ones I already know. Aside from my self teachings, I have taken multiple programming classes and am currently taking a web programming class at Stout.
To me, starting a new web site is like a blank easel is to an artist. I love to shape and mold the page to create the finished working product that, in a sense, lives and breathes with the content and user. I am always looking for new and innovative ways to improve already existing systems as well as to create new ones.
My intention is to graduate from UW-Stout and go into the web development and web industry because it is not only work to me but a passion.
About My Code:
With every project I work on, I ensure that it is cross browser compatible by testing it in the major web browsers across Windows and Mac operating systems. I also ensure that the code is as W3C compliant as possible. Sometimes, for something to work properly, the code must deviate a little bit from compliancy due to the way browsers render the client side code.
In addition to these regular routines, I test my PHP code and MySQL code to make sure it is as secure as I can make it.
